Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Admission to B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA programmes

Applications are invited for admission to the following programmes

4-year B.Tech. programme in

Petroleum Engineering
Chemical Engineering

2 year M.Tech. programme in Petroleum Engineering

2-year MBA in Petroleum & Energy Management

For B.Tech.: Admission will be based on IIT JEE–2011 including the extended merit list issued by IIT. The candidate should have 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST) in class 12th or equivalent.

For M.Tech.:

A 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Petro-Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Admission is based on the valid GATE score and written test followed by interview Companies can sponsor candidates who have worked for them for at least two years, in that case GATE score is not required. However written test/or interview is still be required. The candidate will continue to be on the rolls of the sponsoring company.

For MBA

Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in class 10th and 12th having Mathematics as one of the subject in 12th and a 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in any branch of engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 7.0 or above. Candidates who satisfy the above and have qualified CAT 2010, JMET 2011 or GMAT 2010 will be admitted on the basis of group discussion and personal interview.

Application Fee: Rs.1000/-(One thousand only)

Demand Draft of Rs.1000/-(One thousand only) in favour of “Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology” payable at New Delhi(Write name on the backside of demand draft). Not applicable if the payment has been made online.

For Industrial Health for Factory Medical Officers

Candidates possessing MBBS Degree and permanent registration in medical council will be eligible.

Application forms and prospectus can be obtained from the Institute on payment of Rs.250/- in cash or by Demand Draft in favour of 'Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute' from the Accounts Branch of the Institute between 11.00 am to 5.00 pm on any working day from 02-05-2011 to 21-05-2011.

Those who desirous of getting the forms by post will have to pay an additional amount of Rs.50/- for postal charges.
