M.Tech. (Polymer Technology)
i. The candidate should have passed B.E./B.Tech. Examination in any branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or any other Examination recognized by the University equivalent thereto. OR
M.Sc. (Chemistry) of any recognized University or equivalent thereto. ii. All the candidates for admission to full time M.Tech. Programs must have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
M.Tech. Bioinformatics
i. A candidate who has passed B.Tech. (Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent / M.Sc. Micro Biology / Biotechnology from any University recognised by UGC or equivalent thereto with a CGPA 6.75 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks.
ii. A candidate for admission to full time program must have qualified the GATE examination.
M.Tech. (Microwave and Optical Communication)
i. The candidate should have passed B.E./B.Tech. Examination in Electronics & Communication with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or any other examination recognised by DTU equivalent thereto. OR
M.Sc. Electronics/M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics/Radio Physics/Solid State Physics with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or any other examination recognised as equivalent by DTU.

A 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Petro-Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Admission is based on the valid GATE score and written test followed by interview Companies can sponsor candidates who have worked for them for at least two years, in that case GATE score is not required. However written test/or interview is still be required. The candidate will continue to be on the rolls of the sponsoring company.
For MBA
Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in class 10th and 12th having Mathematics as one of the subject in 12th and a 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in any branch of engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 7.0 or above. Candidates who satisfy the above and have qualified CAT 2010, JMET 2011 or GMAT 2010 will be admitted on the basis of group discussion and personal interview.

M.Tech. Nuclear Science & Technology Program
A candidate seeking admission to this course must qualify in the Joint Admission Test to M.Sc. (JAM) Physics -2011 for admission to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programmes, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Minimum educational qualification for the course is Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters.
At least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade for General category candidates. Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility conditions will be allowed to candidates belonging to all reserved categories.

However, if the seats remain vacant, candidates without GATE score shall be considered.
Candidates sponsored by UGC/AICTE approved technical institutes; industries/R&D organizations/national laboratories having same academic qualifications as required for M Tech (Full- Time) and preferably two-years experience of Full-Time job are eligible to apply for M.Tech programme.
A valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship is not required.
For a foreign national candidate who applies through Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, or Indian Council of Cultural Relation, Govt. of India, are eligible to apply provided that they possess the same minimum qualifications as given for M Tech (Full-Time).
M Tech (Part-Time) programmes: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in relevant allied discipline with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 point scale) and preferably two years of experience.
M Sc (Full-Time) programme: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 60% aggregate marks or CGPA of 6.50 (on 10 point scale). For admission to M Sc in Physics, a pass in Mathematics at Bachelor’s level is compulsory.

He should have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (or equivalent cumulative grade point index), OR
He should have passed any other qualifying degree / diploma examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University (with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CPI).
Candidates who have appeared for the final semester qualifying examination may also apply. The results of such applicants have to be submitted to Member Secretary, PG-ENGG. immediately on declaration of result, which should be on or before 30 days of commencement of semester. Failing to do so the admission is liable to be cancelled. However such candidate has to produce a certificate from the head of the Institute certifying that he / she has already appeared for exam.
For sponsored category the applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in the related field after passing qualifying examination on the last date of submission of application.
